How long have you been in business?
The NY Theosophical Society was incorporated in 1931. Our Quest Bookshop began in 1977.
What is your primary product or service?
We are a metaphysical/new age bookshop. We carry books and gift items that help us on our spiritual path.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I become manager of the shop in 1998. I was already a member of the Theosophical Society. I have worked in retail all my life.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are one of the very few metaphysical shops left in NYC. We are a small shop and we pride ourselves on great customer service. We love to help customers find the right materials for the meditation, study or health quest.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have only our 1 location in Midtown Manhattan

We are easily accessible from the "E" or "M" train to the 53rd ST. Lexington Avenue station, or the No. 6 train to 51st Street and Lexington Ave.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, debit and credit card (American Express also)
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Lyn Trotman, our manager, runs all the bookshop operations. She is also the current president of The NY Theosophical Society, the organization that owns the bookshop.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday - Friday 10 AM - 7 PM
Saturday & Sunday Noon- 6 PM
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
That our shop feels like an oasis in the heart of midtown.
