How long have you been in business?
23 years; publishing 22 of them; we are a quarterly about Chinese food.
What is your primary product or service?
This Chinese food magazine 100% in English; and up until now, it is the only one published in the USA.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My mom would not eat Chinese food, but a childless aunt and uncle did and often took me to eat it with them. The tastes and breadth of dishes are so very good; I got hooked.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
There is no competition, a new Chinese food magazine just began this year; their content is weak, their recipes minimal, no book nor any restaurant reviews, etc. And the kudos keep us going!
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
one location, few experts to aid in that we are doing, have published more than 500 articles and nearly 200 folk have had their materials published in this magazine about this one cuisine. We have published almost two thousand recipes, etc.; and we have hardly scratched the surface!
